**Austin Health's Mental Health Division** incorporates a number of specialities and services across community and bed-based services, with inpatient beds located on all three campuses. The Division provides catchment-based area mental health services, in addition to a number of regional and statewide specialty services.

**HOPE - PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT OFFICER**

**Hours per week: part time**

**Rotating 7-day roster, day/afternoon shifts**

**Employment status: permanent part time**
- An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced
- **Psychosocial Support Officer (PSO)** to join our
- **Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement (HOPE)** program. The service provides tailored, holistic support to people post a suicide attempt with the aim of supporting the person and their carers and families to identify and build the protective factors that reduce the risk of suicide and/or repeated intentional self-harm. The position will work in collaboration with the clinical team to promote a client's wellbeing by supporting connectedness with the community, implementing goals and strategies with clients and their carers/families. Applicants with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or 5 years experience with an appropriate qualification, are encouraged to apply.
