About You
The Wellbeing and Psychosocial Safety Partner will work with the RMIT Wellbeing and Psychosocial Safety Team and stakeholders to deliver key mental wellbeing advice, support and education in response to wellbeing needs and psychosocial risk, and in line with the RMIT Mental Wellbeing Strategic Action Plan 2020 - 2025. This position will act as a trusted advisor to leadership across the organisation, working in close partnership with HR Business Partners, Safer Community, Student Counselling, Student Welfare and others to deliver integrated best practice wellbeing and psychosocial risk interventions.

Successful delivery of interventions will see enhanced mental health literacy across the organisation, optimisation of system level psychosocial risk management, and increased utilisation of support services to minimise unmanaged risk in the community. An excellent communicator, the Wellbeing and Psychosocial Risk Partner will facilitate key RMIT Wellbeing professional development and provide advice to RMIT leaders in supporting staff and student wellbeing - both proactively and responsively.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

- Proven knowledge in mental health, psychosocial risk management, suicide prevention and postvention, and psychological first aid with commitment to creating positive change in large organisational settings.
- Highly developed interpersonal, clinical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated relationship building and stakeholder management skills including demonstrated ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong written communication skills including experience producing high quality guidance materials, briefings, reports and other project related documentation for a range of audiences.
- High level of initiative, discretion, collaboration, independence and flexibility.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and ability to adapt evidence-based frameworks to real life scenarios.
- Demonstrated skills in the use of information and communication technologies.
