**About the role**
The Community Wellbeing Officer plays a key role in the Community Wellbeing team at Inner West Council. Directly reporting to a Community Wellbeing Coordinator, the role is responsible for collaborating with other officers, the community and management team to develop and deliver projects and initiatives to meet the diverse needs of the Inner West community in line with our organisation’s strategic priorities, operational needs and community consultation. This includes researching, planning, implementation and evaluation of community development projects, community services and initiatives to meet the needs of the community and promote social inclusion in the Inner West Local Government Area.
Working within the Wellbeing team you will have a flexible and agile approach to work where you will sometimes lead projects as well as work across a variety of projects and initiatives reflective of the priorities of Council.

This is a parental leave cover position, offering full-time employment till October 2026.
**Remuneration**
$91,316.16 - $110,998.16 + 12% Superannuation
**Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications in social science, human services, community development work, community services or other relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working in human/community services with a diverse range of community members and developing and delivering projects and initiatives/services to meet their needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated strong written communication skills, including ability to write reports, meeting minutes and project plans.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, community engagement and stakeholder management skills.
