Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world’s largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you’re joining a very unique team As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles and wind turbines.

Lynas is embarking on an expansion in Western Australia and we’re looking for a driven Purchasing Officer for a 2 year fixed term contract.

Our Purchasing Officer is part of a team of people committed to effective and efficient service to the larger Mt Weld team. They will be required to communicate respectfully and confidently with internal and external stakeholders and be able to work autonomously and part of our team.

As a highly valued member of the Lynas Mt Weld team and to be successful for this role with our team you will:

- Ensure purchase order information in Pronto is entered in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow up with vendors for service timeframes, delivery of goods to provide an efficient service to the Mt Weld operations.
- Ensure delivery of critical inputs to Mt Weld operations.
- Perform evaluations of quoting and tendering processes to ensure effective procurement activities.
- Expedite orders and report/update records accordingly.
- Interact and build positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness of the stores.

Skills and Experience:

- Valid C class - WA Manual Drivers Licence
- Forklift License
- Diploma in Finance, Commerce or Supply Chain management. (Desired)
- Prior experience as Purchasing Officer in the Mining Industry
- Problem solving oriented.
- High standard of knowledge, and attention to detail.
- Effective organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Pronto software
