**The Role**
Capability Analysts within Defence support the development, generation and evolution of Defence Capabilities, which may include platforms such as ships and aircraft; weapons such as Missiles or Torpedos; and systems such as Networks or Communications.
Intelligence Capability Integration (ICI) Branch within Intelligence Capability Division (ICD) develops and delivers Intelligence Capabilities for Defence and the wider National Intelligence Community. ICI Capability Analysts build and maintain deep knowledge of intelligence capabilities and tradecraft and support the delivery cutting edge technologies across the full scope of Defence operations.
**About our Team**
The Intelligence Mission Systems (IMS) Directorate works with a range of stakeholders and users to develop and deliver intelligence capabilities and systems to the ADF, Defence Intelligence Community and National Intelligence Community. IMS has a specific focus on Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Intelligence Analysis, Production and Dissemination. Our Team works within a blended workforce consisting of ADF, APS and Contracted Team members and we focus on innovative solutions and user centric outcomes.
The successful applicants will have well developed people skills, a demonstrated ability to work independently, and thrive on challenging and dynamic environments.
- Experience in Research, Investigation, Intelligence, Security or Project Management
- Strong analytical skills

- Stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership and management skills are desirable but not essential
