**About the role**

The Product Portfolio Lead is a key member of the Retail X Consumer team, and their primary responsibility is to balance our share and value objectives across the residential electricity and natural gas product portfolio and help deliver exceptional customer experiences.

A key component of this role is ensuring that the product supports Origin's overall strategy and goals to transition to net zero and cleaner energy and customer solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

- Defining and developing the product vision across four key areas: core, sustainability, partnerships/adjacencies, and future energy solutions. You'll develop the strategy and roadmap to meet our customer’s needs, respond to competitive pressures to achieve share (net customer position) and value (margin) objectives.
- Engage and collaborate with Energy Specialists and customer Insights and Analytics who will be at the forefront of what our customers think, market trends and inspire product innovation.
- You'll be passionate about meeting our customer needs and community expectations ensuring we are continuously thinking about competitive positioning, performance, compliance, risks & opportunities.
- Develop user stories and outline business requirements working with technical developers on new product development, product optimisation and automation. You'll make go / no go recommendations on business readiness before we launch in market.
- Collaborate and lead working groups across Sales, Insights, Marketing, Tech, Legal, Compliance, Pricing and Strategy tracking progress and reporting on milestones back to working groups and senior management.

**About you**

You will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate ideas and viewpoints to peers and others, identifying and initiating projects and managing resources and holding yourself and the team accountable for results. Strong analytical, commercial and business acumen will be critical to your success in the role.

- Degree with 8-10+ years leading and designing and executing product and pricing strategies.
- Creative mindset that inspires product innovation and improvement of customer journeys.
- Project management skills to lead working groups across product development, delivery and go to market.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage a wide group of stakeholders.
