About the Opportunity
The Senior Product Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in shaping and executing the brand and product portfolio strategy. Reporting into the Head of Marketing and leading a team of two (Product Manager and Brand Manager), this role is responsible for ensuring the portfolio is fit‑for‑purpose, profitable, and primed for long‑term growth. Sitting at the intersection of brand, product, and customer, this is a highly strategic and commercial position. The remit covers everything from portfolio architecture and innovation pipeline to activation strategy and margin management. Partnering closely with the Activation team, internal stakeholders, and a wide range of trade customers (from polished corporates to more grassroots operators), this person will bring clarity, vision, and impact. It’s a hands‑on role requiring someone who can roll up their sleeves, navigate complexity, and balance the needs of both B2B and B2C audiences across a diverse product portfolio. With a strong focus on category management, NPD execution, and stakeholder influence, the position calls for someone who can lead through story, strategy, and substance.
Background & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience managing brand and product portfolios, ideally across both trade and consumer markets
- A strong track record in NPD, innovation pipelines, range architecture, and stage‑gate processes
- Demonstrated ability to drive portfolio growth, margin improvement, and in‑store activation in partnership with sales
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams and delivering results through influence, not just authority
- Proven ability to work with diverse customer bases, balancing commercial outcomes with customer‑first thinking
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and emotional intelligence – someone who can read the room, build credibility fast, and align stakeholders across the business
- A natural storyteller and strategic thinker, able to bring a portfolio to life in a way that inspires and aligns sales, marketing, and customers alike
- A collaborative, down‑to‑earth style with the confidence to challenge constructively and push thinking forward
