**About the Business Unit**:
- Victim Services, Support and Reform (VSSR) is part of the Police, Victims, Racing and Coordination Group within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). VSSR is responsible for the delivery and reform of services to victims of crime, placing victims at the centre of the justice system.
- In addition to providing direct services to victims of crime, VSSR leads the development and implementation of victim-related policy and program innovation within DJCS and across government. This includes working closely with other areas of DJCS, Justice entities, other government departments and external stakeholders.
**About the Role**:
- As a Lead Engagement Officer (Redress Restorative Engagement Processes), some of your duties will include:
- Leading the delivery of effective Restorative Engagement processes for participants in the Victoria Police and Historical Forced Adoption Redress schemes
- Managing contracted facilitators to deliver effective Restorative Engagement processes
- Contributing to continuous improvement and expansion of victim-centred restorative practice in the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

**About You**:
- Understanding of restorative justice practice, theories and processes
- Experience leading a team providing services to victims of crime or people who have experienced institutional harm
- Sound knowledge and experience in Government administrative and business processes and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to prepare well-written, timely, concise, accurate and audience-appropriate briefings and reports.
- Qualifications/Requirements:_
- A relevant tertiary qualification (such as Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or Law) and/or a minimum of five years in practice in a related field (such as restorative or group conferencing, family violence specialist services, family and community services, mediation and therapeutic justice) is required
- Experience working in government and/or in victim support / case management would be desirable.
