Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three consortia delivering services under Sydney Water’s Partnering for Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water’s North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

We are looking for a Quality & Systems Advisor to join our growing quality team, reporting to the Quality Manager and based in our Chatswood Head office, you will visit various Sydney Water sites in the region as needed for your role. The Quality & Systems Advisor will be pivotal in the implementation and promotion of our quality systems and strategies as we aim to continue to strengthen our quality culture.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Working with project teams to embed positive quality practices in the way we deliver our work
- Working with project teams to establish and review quality documentation, including Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Inspection and Test Checklists (ITCs)
- Conducting inspections and audits
- Monitoring the closure of project hand-over records and ensuring completeness of records to client requirements
- Monitoring the implementation of the Quality Management System
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues, investigate and close NCRs and quality incidents, conduct lessons learned and promote positive practices
- Preparing reports on project quality performance, trends and outstanding actions
- Training and coaching teams on the quality system and quality requirements
- Working with the wider quality team and Quality Manager to continually improve the Quality Management System.

ABOUT YOU
- Experience in Quality Management System implementation and maintenance
- Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience in internal auditing will be highly regarded
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to work autonomously and “work with others” to enable coaching and developing
- Desire to innovate and pursue best practice
- Experience in a construction or utility infrastructure environment is desirable, but not essential.
