**Your new company**
This high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an APS6 Recalls Officer to join their dynamic and supportive Branch that enhances vehicle safety, emissions control and anti-theft protection to ensure the Australian vehicle fleet is safe and efficient.

**Your new role**
You will undertake a range of activities in relation to the notification of recalls by vehicle suppliers, the monitoring of recall progress by suppliers and assistance and guidance relating to the recall of vehicles in Australia. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Contribute to risk-based vehicle recall assurance and review activities using an internal database and other programs including spreadsheets and Power BI.
- Develop or contribute to the development of vehicle recall policy and procedures.
- Analyse and assess information gathered as a result of supplier reporting against vehicle recalls and draft recommendations for decision makers.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholder including the public about vehicle recalls and the related policy and legislation.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position you be enthusiastic, have demonstrated writing and IT system skills including Dynamics 365 or similar based systems, Power BI and office IT based systems and the ability to quickly learn and understand new systems and lead the development of briefing and guidance material for those systems.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
