**Your new company**
This well known Federal Government Department is seeking an APS6 Recalls Officer to join their dynamic and busy team due to an increased workflow. You will be a part of a section responsible for undertaking a range of activities in relation to the notification of recalls by vehicle suppliers.

**Your new role**
You will support the monitoring of recall progress by suppliers and provide assistance and guidance relating to the recall of vehicles in Australia. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Contribute to risk-based vehicle recall assurance and review activities using an internal Department program and other programs including spreadsheets and Power BI.
- Develop and contribute to the development of policy and procedures.
- Analyse and assess information gathered and draft recommendations for decision makers.
- Liaise with industry and government agencies including state and territory regulators, private industry bodies and other entities.
- Engage with stakeholders including the public about vehicle recalls and the related policy and legislation.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position you will have previous experience within a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have the ability to learn and understand new systems and lead the development of briefing and guidance material for the systems, excellent communication skills both written and verbally, high attention to detail skills and experience using dynamics 365 or similar systems, Power BI and MS Office suite.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
