**About the role**:
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the Aviation Operations Manager will be responsible for leadership and accountability of the aircraft refuelling at Brisbane, Coolangatta and Rockhampton. You will lead a team of up to 50 direct reports, manage all aspects of aviation related operations across the sites to execute excellence, safe and reliable operations.

In addition, to ensure our commitment to our Aviation customers by refuelling safely on time and managing JHUI facilities. This role requires operations on call 7 days per week.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Achieve Incident and Injury free performance.
- Manage and lead the Aviation operations team.
- Lead operational excellence and ensure safe working practices.
- Ensure refuelling equipment are well maintained
- Compliance with Ampol and legislative requirements.
- Manage JUHI facilities in line with Joint Venture expectations
- Ensure cost effective management and inventory management
- Budget Preparation and performing reporting.
- Deliver high level of service to internal and external customers
- Safety Leadership displayed through Leadership in the Field activity.
- Project Management
- Lead and embed the key requirement of Ampol Operational Excellent Management System into the site operations

**About you**:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager seeking the next challenge. You have strong operational capability, people leadership and high level of strategic experience. Your problem-solving skills and commitment to customers will help you thrive in this role.

You possess effective communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships and a strong focus on commitment to Operational Excellence.

**Key skills and experience**:

- Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business or similar
- Petroleum industry experience is desirable
- Previous experience in Aviation Operations environment, ideally minimum 5 years.
- Strong Operational background
- People leadership and ability to influence
- Budget management experience
- Project management experience
- Previous experience in industrial relations and contract management
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
