AVMIN is owned by one of the largest travel agency groups in the world, the Flight Centre Travel Group. We provide a bespoke service to our guests in the Private Jet, Commercial and Cargo segments worldwide.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Aviation Operations Manager to lead, oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the busy AVMIN Operations Control Centre. You will help build and implement company-wide policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that the business runs smoothly and efficiently.
**As the Aviation Operations Manager, you will**:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of AVMIN to ensure that all business functions and departments are efficiently and effectively executed
- Develop, review, and maintain all operational policies, procedures and guidelines within AVMIN
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to strengthen the overall team structure and ensure seamless communication, collaboration and coordination between departments
- Analyse and monitor industry trends in order to ensure the company's competitive advantage is maintained
- Keep track of metrics to track the effectiveness of operations and identify opportunities for process improvement to streamline workflows
- Working closely with finance to ensure up-to-date invoicing and KPI management - along with board reports and stakeholder management
- Ensuring highest standards of flight following is conducted
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role within the charter brokerage, travel, transportation or logistics industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to manage teams and oversee multiple departments in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to identify areas for innovation and improvement
- Commercial acumen; business planning and execution, financial management and understanding and market trends
