About this role

We are looking for dynamic, passionate, and skilled Health Information Officer to join our Clinical Information Services team on a Permanent part time basis (.8FTE). As part of our team, you will work collaboratively with the broader St Andrew’s Hospital management team, contributing to governance, providing expert guidance, and supporting the development and implementation of best practice processes.

About you

You will have the following experience skills and knowledge:

- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Health Information Management, healthcare management or related fields.
- Awareness of all facets of health information management such as, clinical costing, private health insurance, hospital casemix complexities and ABF models / DRG funding principles
- Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-AM & ACHI Classification including Australian Coding Standards and National Coding Advice.
- Knowledge of contemporary quantitative methods and tools.
- Competency in a wide range of IT including coding software e.g. 3M Codefinder
- Knowledge of health fund contracts and AR-DRG versions
