About the Role
- Ensure prospective patients have been placed on a respective waiting list, booked within the time frame indicated and maintain this list by ensuring accurate and complete additions, amendments, ongoing verification and appropriate delegations.
- Utilise information systems to record and update all patient demographic information, Medicare details and referral details (e.g. HBCIS, ESM). Also, using these systems to track the movement of patient charts, health fund details and admission details, ensuring data integrity and patient confidentiality by adhering to approved policies, guidelines, and workplace instructions.
- Organise and coordinate patients' appointment activities, including the arrival of patients, booking appointments, management of cancellation/rescheduling of clinics, management of clinic waiting lists and coordinating appointments with other services. Ensuring transportation and follow up appointments are arranged.
- Prepare electronic and manual medical record for new and review patients including sorting and distributing patients results (e.g. pathology, x-ray, etc) in accordance with appropriate unit practices.
