**Our Client**
Our client is a WA organisation that specialises in the rental of mining and earthmoving equipment. Based South of the Perth CBD they are looking for a full time Accounts Officer to join the team on a permanent basis.

**Description**
This role is responsible for the preparation of accurate and quality reports, budgets, commentaries, and financial statements that inform business decisions. Reporting to the Managing Director your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for creditor set-up and maintenance, purchase order management and the retrieval and entering of invoices
- Accounts Payable: preparation of weekly/monthly payments, remittance advice and creditor statement control
- Accounts Receivable: generation of debtor invoices, debtor receipts and statements, debtor reminders
- Payroll processing for roughly 11 staff, including yearend finalisation
- Weekly bank reconciliations, monthly credit card reconciliation and payroll tax preparation and lodgement
- Daily cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Develop and implement systems and procedures for bookkeeping
- Liaise with executives, managers, and other stakeholders to assist with managing budgets and understanding financial implications to help drive decisions
- Undertake Accountants project work, as directed by the Managing Director

**Profile**
As an ideal applicant, you will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent business-related degree (desirable)
- Previous accounting exposure within a mining or mining contracting environment
- Previous experience in financial analysis, payroll, AP/AR management
- Competent with excel and/or spreadsheet software skills
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- High level of communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous experience using XERO (desirable)
