Weston Williamson + Partners (WW+P) is an award winning, design led architectural practice with studios in Australia, the UK and Canada. We are looking for an experienced and qualified **Contracts Manager **to join our Sydney team in a national role. Having recently been acquired by a global consulting and engineering group, Egis, this is a newly created role to support the future growth of the business nationally, across our project portfolio.
**Job Description**:
Based in the Sydney CBD studio and reporting into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
+ Leading commercial matters across projects ensuring contractual objectives are met or exceeded
+ Ensuring head and sub contract obligations and entitlements are reached
+ Procurement and management of sub-contractor packages with a focus on clarity, variations, and reporting
+ Reviewing and processing progress claims, variations, as well as reporting and forecasting across projects
+ Advising on contractual considerations for tender pricing, ensuring all tenders are compliant with commercial requirements before submission.
+ Prepare, review, edit and negotiate individual service contracts and sub-contracts
+ Oversee approved suppliers, ensuring commercial compliance and up to date certificates of insurance on record
+ Reviewing and processing progress claims, variations, as well as reporting and forecasting across projects
+ Supervise contract execution to ensure compliance, seek further opportunities, and manage risk
+ Liaise with legal counsel, commercial advisors and insurers for input where required
+ Provide commercial leadership, guidance and mentoring as aligned with the company's values
+ Work closely with delivery teams and be a key liaison for project stakeholders internally and externally
**Qualifications**:
**Knowledge and experience**
+ Experience of working for an architectural practice, or in a design led environment
+ Experienced in a similar role ideally with Tier 1/2 contractors or developers
+ Demonstrated ability to develop commercial relationships with clients and head contractors
+ Strong business acumen and commercial insight
+ Accountability and attention to detail
+ Excellent, direct communication and stakeholder management skills
+ A good team player with confidentiality and discretion
+ Interest in city-making and design
+ Degree qualification in relevant field of study
