**Our Opportunity**

We're offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to join our Above Water Systems (AWS) team based in Garden Island AWS specializes in ship repair, maintenance, asset management, and in-service support for commercial and naval ships in Australia. We also provide docking, reticulated services, and facility maintenance at Garden Island. In this role, you'll be instrumental in optimizing Thales's profitability by minimizing contractual and financial risks and spotting commercial opportunities throughout the contract's life cycle. Responsibilities will include;
- Manage AWS portfolio contracts and offers, ensuring full compliance with obligations.
- Provide contract and project support for strategic Bids and Projects.
- Analyse customer non-technical requirements.
- Understand technical requirements, their schedules, and priorities.
- Validate non-technical solution aspects and dependencies.
- Assist in identifying contractual requirements and supply chain compliance.
- Develop and maintain the Contract Baseline.
- Brief the Project team on contract elements.
- Administer the contract baseline during the project.
- Monitor and interpret contractual obligations in collaboration with L&C.
- Manage contract changes and disputes.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met and maintain a claims log.
- Handle contract-related risks and opportunities.
- Identify and manage amendments throughout the project.
- Lead and manage teams for Contract Management and transformation.

**How about you?**
- Desired postgraduate qualifications in Business, Finance/Accounting, Law, Project Management, Commercial Management, or Engineering.
- Extensive knowledge in business, regulations, and commercial matters.
- Experience in contract, legal, commercial, or project management.
- Proven track record of successful contract support.
- Strong commercial acumen and business development experience.
- Familiarity with ASDEFCON procurement and contracts.
- Proficiency in risk and opportunity management.
- Background in Maritime Sustainment.
- Familiarity with ISO44001 or collaborative contracting.
