Structural Drafter/designer

**About the Role**

Our Property and Infrastructure Division is currently working on high profile projects across a variety of infrastructure projects. As a result of our growth, we are currently looking for **Structural Drafters and Designers **with experience in general infrastructure projects to join the team.

As a **Structural Drafter/Designer,** you will work closely with our high performing Civil and Structural Engineering teams to deliver a wide range of Industrial, Infrastructure, Resources and Building projects. You will work on projects from tender to detailed design and will have the opportunity to work on high profile and state significant buildings.

**What you bring to the role**:

- 3-7 years structural drafting experience in heavy industrial projects
- Strong technical understanding and experience with AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
- Advanced time management skills
- Commitment to quality and customer service
- The drive and passion to want to keep learning from industry experts and to continually grow and progress your career
- Ability to work across other engineering disciplines if required, is desirable
- Ability to work autonomously and cohesively in a team environment

**Key responsibilities**
- Review drawings created by engineers to ensure they meet industry standards
- Provide feedback to engineers on drafts of blueprints that need improvements
- Prepare drawings for structural projects using Revit and Auto CAD
- Maintain register of drawings for projects
- Issue drawings and documents as directed by Project Manager and Design staff
- Monitor drafting costs and report progress to the Project Manager
- Assist with library of standard details
- Supervise the work of drafters and designers as required

**Your skills and experience that interest us**:

- A recognised and relevant drafting qualification. An Associate Degree in Engineering will be highly regarded, but is not mandatory for the right applicant.
- Ability to do entire structural drafting projects by yourself unsupervised.
- Sound knowledge of general engineering standards and principles.
- Experience with Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro (BIM 360) is an advantage
- Experience in various sectors such as high and low rise residential buildings, commercial buildings, shopping centres, retail, and mixed-use developments.
- Knowledge of the structural steel fabrication industry & fabrication principles
- Familiar with BOM Editor for reports such as material lists, cut lists, assembly lists, bolt lists etc.
- Self-motivated, friendly, social, communicates well and enjoys being part of a high performance team.
- Good time management skills to meet commercial deadlines.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Microstation and AutoCAD. Your expertise in these industry-standard tools will enable you to create accurate and precise drawings efficiently.
- Experience in the use of Dynamo, Advanced Steel and other drafting packages will be highly regarded.
