Program Planning Manager, Infrastructure

**About this opportunity**

We are looking for an inspiring leader who is passionate about contributing to the successful delivery of rail projects. Reporting to the Field Support Manager, a typical week in this role might look like/this role involves:

- Manage Planning Activities for the Infrastructure Directorate (Maintenance & Renewals, Upgrades, Projects and any associated processes) and support the development and management of the Annual Infrastructure Works Plan
- To ensure that infrastructure works are planned in an optimized way and realise opportunities in delivery, strengthening strategies and meeting maintenance compliance and Franchise Agreement commitments.
- Coordinating and monitoring to ensure that the appropriate resources, systems and processes are in place to support Infrastructure Directorate Managers.

**About you**

Ideally you will have:

- Possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant business or technical discipline
- Proven experience in managing planning and scheduling activities associated with a large asset base
- Detailed knowledge of Project / Maintenance Management, Planning and Reporting systems (ie: Primavera P6, Maximo, etc)
- Extensive experience in, planning, scheduling systems, resource allocation and optimization
- Proven track record of achievement and extensive experience in an transport operational environment
- Extensive experience in dealing across multiple functions and coordinating activities
- Good understanding of the relevant Acts, regulations and standards that impact upon a maintenance program including OH&S, Rail Safety Regulations, etc
- Awareness and commitment to quality and risk management concepts
- Sound understanding of the company management and correspondence systems
- Experience in quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies
- Demonstrates ability to initiate and implement change to meet the business needs, and work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to provide creative solutions for complex problems
- Well developed, interpersonal and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with key stakeholders being internal functional areas of the business, as well as external agencies such as Service providers
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Analytical, evaluation and decision-making skills
- Ability to prepare reports and data mine to provide optimal solutions
