**Your Role and Responsibilities**

**Position Concept**:
The IODF Management & Design function involves planning, designing, coding and implementing IODF changes across all relevant mainframe processors and LPARs. This is a highly technical role that requires both mainframe hardware and software knowledge and experience at a senior level. The role is not at an individual system or LPAR level, the architecture and environment requires these changes to be implemented across all LPARs on all relevant processors, this can also be across multiple customers and multiple sites. Some Client interaction is required during Australian business hours. Experience with z/OS, HCD and HCM is required as is knowledge and experience with zSeries technology, HMCs and related mainframe hardware (non Kyndryl hardware included).

Performance measurements are documented in the System Specialist’s Checkpoint goals.

**Authority**
You are authorized as follows:

- Raise and update Problem & Change records as required.
- Implement approved changes to system software products and configurations.
- Install, test and customize system software products.
- Adjust Mainframe system products to optimize performance.
- Manage your personal skills development

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Skills required are those of a zOS systems programmer with technical knowledge in mainframe hardware and software and extensive experience with HMC, HCM and HCD.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Experience working with configuration of clients that have data centres at multiple sites and experience with site switch.
