Job Title: Technical Specialist/Engineer - Surgical Robot - Australia

Position Overview:

As a Technical Specialist/Engineer for Surgical Robots, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and support of our robotic surgical systems. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our robotic technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Installation and Configuration:

  2. Lead the installation and configuration of robotic surgical systems in healthcare institutions, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and guidelines.

  3. Provide technical expertise during the setup process to optimize system performance.

  4. Troubleshooting and Technical Support:

  5. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to robotic systems through remote support or on-site intervention.

  6. Collaborate with Clinical team to provide timely and effective solutions to end-users.

  7. Preventive Maintenance:

  8. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for robotic systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous functionality.

  9. Conduct routine inspections and updates to prevent potential issues.

  10. Training and Documentation:

  11. Deliver technical training to healthcare professionals and internal staff on the use and maintenance of robotic surgical systems.

  12. Create and update technical documentation, manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

  13. Collaboration with R&D:

  14. Work closely with the research and development team to provide insights and feedback from a technical perspective.

  15. Participate in testing and validation of new software and hardware releases.

  16. Quality Assurance:

  17. Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes for robotic systems.

  18. Assist in the investigation and resolution of any technical issues related to product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cor a related technical field; advanced degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience in technical support or engineering roles in the medical device industry.

  • Familiarity with robotic systems and control systems is highly desirable.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to travel for on-site technical support and installations.
