Opportunity for an experienced HR Manager looking for a long-term position to run a team of HR professionals

**Your new company**
Our client specialises in the events and hospitality industry and operates out of the central Gold Coast. A new opportunity has arisen for a HR Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role would be reporting directly into the Deputy General Manager/Executive HR Manager and would in turn have 4 HR team members reporting into you.

**Your new role**
This is an established Human Resources position that will work very closely with senior management and play an active role in providing HR services and driving HR initiatives. This busy role will see you responsible for:

- Partnering with the Department Leaders and providing advice and recommendations in relation to people management situations
- Conducting periodical audits of Human Resources documents and systems as necessary
- Oversight of Recruitment and Learning activities
- Manage the administrative support including internal paperwork, telephone calls, internal communication, assisting with payroll and Enterprise Agreement queries and advice on company policies and procedures
- Provide advice to managers on return-to-work processes for injured team members
- Manage workers compensation claims through the self-insurer
- Promote Human Resources services and drive internal communication strategies
- Budgeting, business plans and reporting on monthly profit and loss statements
- Provide guidance on company policy
- Undertake HR projects as directed
- Assist the Deputy General Manager with the negotiation and implementation of the Enterprise Agreement

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered you will demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated HR Manager experience and HR qualifications
- HR experience in the Hospitality industry is very desirable
- Knowledge of Certified Agreements and familiar with Hospitality based Awards
- Knowledge and familiarity working with ELMO and Humanforce will be highly regarded
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal along with a proven commitment to teamwork
- Strong working knowledge of workplace regulations
- The ability and passion to build strong relationships at all levels which foster trust and mutual respect
