Your contribution
Using your understanding and experience in investigation activities, you will:

- review and investigate building and construction projects to ensure all applicable projects are correctly notified and the applicable levy paid. Investigation activities may require travel throughout Queensland from time to time.
- provide education and information to levy payers in relation to the operation of the building and construction industry portable long service leave scheme to increase compliance and levy collection.
- review and interpret project accounting information to ascertain the applicable levy for specific building and construction projects.
- utilise your auditing and analytical skills to gather evidence and enforce the payment of levies
- prepare briefs and correspondence to support legal undertakings on matters relating to non-compliance
- foster and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- gather industry data, identify trends and report on compliance issues, investigations and outcomes
- identify system and business improvements and participate in knowledge sharing activities
- maintain registers and record management systems ensuring information is current and accurate
- ensure accurate and timely notetaking and records are managed in accordance with QLeave requirements
- demonstrate public service values, ethical standards, conduct and conduct contribute to the development and commitment to ethical behaviour and QLeave's corporate values.

This position reports to the Supervisor, Levies Compliance and has no supervisory responsibilities.

**For this role, we will consider how well you**:

- utilise your strong auditing, analytical skills, and financial literacy to undertake audits and investigations into the building and construction industry to ascertain if the levy payer has complied with their obligations under the Act
- engage and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure stakeholders are fully informed of their obligations under QLeave's legislation.
- have strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare reports and correspondence justifying the decision making process.
