The Corps Administrator of Volunteers role provides operational support through administration services as required. This role also ensures volunteers are appropriately recruited, checked, engaged and retained and appropriate databases are up-to-date.

Key Tasks

Key Activities & Responsibilities

Undertake Administrative Functions
- Undertake general office duties including data entry and photocopying of documents.
- Typing of documents, preparing spreadsheets, retrieving information and data using current computer packages.
- Provide coordination and assistance for local volunteers, including recruitment, checking, induction and retention in coordination with the Manager, and relevant paperwork and databases are kept up-to-date. Support the Manager in choosing the correct start date for each volunteer.
- Assisting site Manager/Supervisor with other tasks as directed.
- Confidentiality of information is maintained.

Provide Quality Customer Service
- Maintain professionalism at all times, conducting oneself with integrity and respecting personal privacy and confidentiality.
- Work within the boundaries of delegated authority and refer other enquiries to the supervisor.
- Follow due process and carry out all tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Learn from examples and experiences to ensure improved work efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide feedback on better ways of working and opportunities for improvement.

Work within TSA policy
- Reflect TSA mission, vision and values following all policies, procedures and guidelines
- Work within all TSA work health and safety policies and procedures to minimise risk to self and others, reporting any concerns in a timely manner.
- All volunteers are to be mindful of their own health and to take care of the health and safety of others.

Required For The Position
- Complete The Salvation Army (TSA) Mission Volunteer registration, induction and training - TSA is a ChildSafe workplace.
- Integrity checks as required for the role.
- Experience in administration, use of Microsoft Word and Excel and customer service.
- Confident technology user and comfortable learning new systems
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Identifies and follows safe work practices to perform all duties in a safe manner, ensuring the safety and well-being of self and others.
