**About Us** **About the Role** We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join us as Tour Guides for our Places of Worship Tours. As a Tour Guide, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enriching experience for participants, offering insight into diverse religious traditions while promoting respect and understanding within the community. **Requirements to Become a Tour Guide** - **Commitment to IFN’s Vision and Values**: A genuine interest in promoting respect, understanding, and unity among diverse faiths and cultures. - **Communication Skills**: Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and respectfully with diverse groups. - **Interpersonal Skills**: Friendly, welcoming, and able to create a positive experience for participants. - **Cultural Sensitivity**: An open-minded approach and respect for different faiths, traditions, and cultural practices. - **Flexibility and Reliability**: Availability to volunteer for scheduled tours and a willingness to assist as needed. - **Driver’s License**: A valid driver’s license to ensure flexibility in transportation to various Places of Worship. - **Police Check and Working with Children Check**: While these are required, we can assist you with obtaining these if you don’t already have them. **What You’ll Gain** - The opportunity to represent a vibrant community organisation living out the vision of "Many Faiths, One People." - Training and support to guide tours with confidence and skill. - A chance to work alongside faith leaders and community members in a welcoming, inclusive environment. - Invitations to IFN events and activities, with opportunities to meet new people and expand your network. - The fulfilment of making a positive impact on the lives of others and fostering greater understanding within the community. **Why Volunteer With IFN?** At the Interfaith Network, we value the unique contributions of our volunteers and offer opportunities aligned with your strengths, interests, and areas for growth.
