The role Reporting to the Manager, MHAOD Capital Planning and Service Design team, MHAOD Strategy and Planning Branch, you will drive impactful capital projects, employing exceptional prioritization, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills to enhance outcomes. Leveraging your advanced strategic and analytical abilities, you will craft insightful reports, discussion papers, and submissions, drawing upon your profound understanding of the mental health alcohol and other drug treatment service system and its intricate connections within government, non-government, and private sectors.
Your role will demand expert negotiation, consultation, and facilitation skills, enabling seamless communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, your capacity to formulate evidence-based recommendations rooted in international, national, and state best practices will shape strategic policy and service design. Ethical decision-making will guide you in achieving organizational goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the branch and adhering rigorously to defined service quality standards and health and safety protocols, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
The successful personTo excel in this position, you must demonstrate adeptness in managing intricate and time-sensitive projects, with the ability to swiftly adapt to changing priorities and numerous demands. Your skills should extend to robust research and critical analysis, enabling the translation of health literature, qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful outputs like system assessments and state-wide service plans.
Moreover, you should possess advanced written communication, strategic, and analytical abilities, allowing you to craft comprehensive reports, presentations, and submissions tailored for diverse audiences. Your expertise should also encompass adept negotiation, consultation, and facilitation skills, honed through the cultivation of fruitful relationships with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders. While relevant qualifications are not obligatory, they would be highly valued for this role.
