With the Australian operation expanding & due to a recent restructure, they are looking for a AR Officer to join the finance team on a temp to perm basis and start ASAP. Based in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs, this is a great opportunity for a professional looking to join a large and growing international FMCG organisation.

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the AR Manager with responsibilities which include:

- Contact slow-paying customers and perform corrective actions.
- Process invoices and credit notes for customers as required.
- Match customer remittances to the bank statements and customer accounts, perform reconciliations.
- Perform credit checks, trade reference checks, input in ERP system for the initial set-up and ongoing maintenance of customer profiles and credit limits.
- Manage customer account enquiries, discrepancies and disputes ensuring they are investigated and resolved.
- Manage the “on-hold” status of customers, liaising with Customer Service and Account Managers.
- Assist in improving the accounts receivable process.
- Support the finance team with other duties as required

**Your Ideal Experience**:
An urgent and immediate need we are looking for someone that can start ASAP. You will be confident and able demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability. You will ideally have:

- Working experience as Account Receivable officer/assistant.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive with ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Team player with strong attention to detail
- Good understanding of Excel.
