Junior Exploration Geologist for a Perth-based with campaign travel to projects | Temp and Perm
**Your new company**
Australian based explorer with a portfolio of nickel and copper projects across Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The team have acquired a new project making this a fantastic time to join the team and make your mark on their discoveries and future success. This client intends to move into production for some of their assets, whilst continuing to explore elsewhere.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the senior exploration geologist, this will be a Perth-based role with campaign drilling at the projects (no more than 2 weeks away at a time). You will be a motivated Geologist who is able to take ownership of the project to the extent that you are significantly contributing to the company's success. Typical duties would include, but are not limited to;
- Monitoring of daily drilling activities (when on campaign)
- Diamond drill core logging and sampling
- Ensuring high quality data is collected in the field through industry standard QAQC practices
- Interpretation and review of geological data
- Assistance as required on exploration projects, which may include monitoring and logging of RC programs and surface geochemistry sampling
- Assist in the development of exploration and drilling programmes
- Daily and weekly reporting as required
- Technical reports based on exploration findings
- Monitoring of drill contractors (When on campaign)

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Exploration experience (ideally with hard rock)
- Tertiary Qualification in Geology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Manual Australian drivers’ license
- Competent with Microsoft Office
