**About the opportunity**

As the Asset Manager, reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you will be responsible for managing the leases and associated tasks for GYG’s restaurant network throughout Queensland, consisting of approx. 80 restaurant locations.

**Day to day you will**:

- Exercise options, manage lease renewals, relocations, expansions and reductions
- Negotiate leases that deliver to agreed targets
- Be the direct contact for all landlords across the QLD restaurant network
- Collect and communicate local market insights that may affect the network plan
- Work in partnership with Finance to ensure sales and performance of the existing network
- Qualify sites against agreed key success measures to ensure our existing real estate is efficient
- Review restaurant data to understand viability of each site
- Develop comprehensive real estate packs to be presented to the Chief Development Officer and the real estate sub-committee (negotiated lease approvals etc.)
- Work with the legal team to ensure lease register is maintained
- Facilitate the refurbishment process for the existing restaurant network, including working with the Construction team to manage landlord issues during fit-out process

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of the real estate industry and be able to negotiate with landlords to achieve the best possible outcomes for GYG. In addition you will have:

- Experience in a similar Asset Manager, Leasing Manager or Leasing Executive role, managing a large commercial property lease portfolio
- Demonstrated experience negotiating lease renewals with both small and large landlords (e.g. Westfield / Scentre Group)
- Experience within Quick Service Restaurants, Retail or similar is highly regarded
