**The Opportunity**

Our Merchandising team’s purpose is to empower customers to confidently shop the largest range of pet supplies in Australia. We do this with a pet first approach, leveraging the expertise of our vet staff and grounding ourselves in a customer-led culture.

As a Pricing Lead within the Merchandising team, you will create and drive strategic pricing for Pet Circle and build out our first pricing operations function.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide comprehensive leadership for setting and owning Pet Circle’s pricing strategy
- Analyse performance to make data driven decisions, optimising key financial outcomes
- Lead all key pricing initiatives to drive the integrated models and business strategies; including business planning and pricing guidelines
- Manage the pricing team including growth, development, and mentorship
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve models, processes, and data integration
- Create price management tools and reports to track price indices, monitor and perform benchmarking against key competitors
- Highly motivated, action-oriented individual who is ready to take on tangible P&L responsibility and make independent decisions
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and be hands on to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with others, both internally (within the Merchandising Team and cross-functionally) as well as externally with third parties
- Strong commercial acumen with exceptional excel expertise and communication skills

**_ Previous experience:_**
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience in identifying and improving profitability drivers
- End to end pricing management experience across a large number of products with proven ability to draw actionable insights and make independent decisions
- Experience in using data driven analysis to identify and solve problems
- Experience in building pricing models and processes, ideally in an e-commerce environment
- Experience in managing a pricing or analytical team, including developing talent

**Role Location**

At Pet Circle we believe that collaboration and team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 2 days in our pet friendly offices and the remaining working from home.

As part of your working from home arrangement we will provide you with IT hardware and an office allowance to support your home set up. #LI-Hybrid
