The Life team provides reinsurance services for the life industry in Australia and New Zealand. They operate in Retail, Group and Direct markets. We have expertise in many areas, such as product, pricing, claims management and underwriting.

Reporting to the Pricing Manager, you will sit within the Commercial team which oversees client relationships with a focus on Retail and Direct insurance. The team provides advice into all aspects of pricing, product design, claims, underwriting. The team also brings Munich Re's global insights and capabilities to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Your job
- Lead projects and Actuarial Analysts to guide technical assessments and commercial outcomes in a cross functional environment
- Perform actuarial modelling, analysis and [PS201 compliant] reporting to support:

- Profitability analyses on in force portfolios
- Recommendation on pricing of existing business
- Client requests for changes to existing business (including product definitions, underwriting, etc.)
- Pricing of new products and treaties
- Enhance internal models and processes to improve efficiency and technical outcomes across the team
- Work with internal SME's and clients to review and propose changes to Treaty documentation
- Develop client relationships and overall cedant management including internal reporting and support in client strategy
- Help manage commercial negotiations including internal and external stakeholders management
- Compliance with Actuarial standards and the Life Insurance Act 1995

**Profile**:

- FIAA Qualified
- 5+ years experience in Life (re)insurance with a significant proportion spent in pricing or valuations
- Knowledge of the Life Insurance Acts in Australia and New Zealand
- Knowledge of individual or group risk products - product features, benefits, pricing, reserving, for the Australian and NZ markets
- Advanced modelling skills (AXIS, SQL and VBA experience)
- Proactively share knowledge and support projects
- Able to consider, research and recommend pragmatic solutions to tasks and problems
