**Role**:
Ringwood Secondary College is seeking a suitably qualified and enthusiastic technician to coordinate the learning and performance facilities in our Performing Arts Centre, provide technical support (sound, lighting, and vision) for performances, concerts, performances, recitals, musicals, dramatic performances and community events.

Being responsible for the coordination of the technical aspects for all RSC events, including the use and maintenance of sound, lighting, vision and staging equipment, in addition to managing bookings for the main spaces.

This position is a 0.6 part time role and involves frequent evening and weekend work. However, hours are averaged out across the year and are flexible depending on requirements and events. Start date and work days are negotiable.

**Responsibilities**:
Examples of duties include but are not limited to:

- Providing technical assistance including setup and operation of AV equipment for internal events such as assemblies, productions and shows, music concerts, dance concerts, and award presentations.
- Providing technical assistance including setup and operation for external events including musical performances, productions, sports events and general venue/equipment hire.
- Setting up analogue and digital stage lighting, audio, data and vision systems.
- Operating and balancing audio, video and lighting systems under concert and formal conditions.
- Recording lectures, speeches, presentations, and other special events in spaces around the college
- As required, liaise with event coordinators to provide technical support for events.
- Training and mentoring students as technical assistants/operators during shows and running of daily events. In addition to programming lighting looks for drama students to operate during performances.
- Undertaking regular maintenance of equipment to ensure everything is fully operational while identifying faults and arranging repairs.
- Maintaining an appropriate database of the inventory of all equipment in the theatre
- End-to-end video production for events and advertising/marketing material.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of OH&S policies and procedures in a performing arts environment and actively adhere to industry best practices

- Allen & Heath SQ6 audio console as well as analogue sound desks
- Conversant with the Martin M2GO lighting console with Onyx software
- Experience using Blackmagic vision equipment, including Pocket Cinema Cameras, ATEM switchers, and Videohub I/O routers
- High Risk Work Qualifications in working at heights, EWP
