- Relevant tertiary qualification (normally a degree) or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, significant experience and skills as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in the architecture, design, development and support of database management systems and services, data integration environments and research data management in a large enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal skills and a high level of written and verbal skills to enable effective and appropriate communication with staff at all levels of a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in service management framework (such as ITIL) particularly in relation to incident, change and problem management.
- Experience in the use of Unix and programming languages including SQL and database tools.
- Experience in the support of Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB and modern methods of data integration.
- Experience in the Higher Education Sector is highly regarded.
