The Victorian Auditor-General’s Office (VAGO) is part of Victoria’s integrity system and informs the Parliament and Victorians about the performance of the public sector and how to improve public services.

A newly established Parliamentary Reports and Services Division (PRSD) of the organisation, led by the Assistant Auditor-General, is building a flexible and agile leadership group and seeks to fill six Director (SES1) positions.

There are approximately 70 staff in the new Division which brings together the areas of strategic audit planning, performance audit, data science, and communications and publishing into six branches:

- Economy and Infrastructure branch
- Environment and Planning branch
- Legal and Social Issues branch
- Local government and Whole of Government branch
- Planning, Products and Communications branch
- Professional Practice and Development branch (time-limited - 2 years)

Each branch is headed by a Director who is supported by a team of Senior Managers, and the Data Science staff are members of the Planning, Products and Communications branch.

We are interested in people from diverse backgrounds. You may come from auditing, consulting, the not-for-profit sector, public policy, or service delivery across the public or private sector. We also welcome a broad range of qualifications such as accounting, arts, economics, law, science, statistics and so on.
