I'm working with a fast-growing, innovation-driven insights consultancy that's looking for a Research Director to lead their Melbourne team.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong quantitative background (and an appreciation for qual) who's excited to build a pillar of the business, grow client relationships, and make a strategic mark.

Why this role?

  • Lead & grow a Melbourne team (currently 4, with growth plans).
  • Work with major consumer brands across FMCG, retail, pharma, services & more.
  • Shape the consultancy's quant offer, while supported by a strong qual team.
  • Drive end-to-end insight programs: segmentation, tracking, innovation, comms & CX/VOC.
  • Genuine commercial ownership: revenue accountability, business development and scope to grow profit share over time.
  • Supportive, collaborative culture with plenty of freedom to experiment and innovate.

What we're looking for:

  • Circa 10+ years as a senior agency-side researcher (Research Director / strong AD) with quant expertise. (Open to someone stepping up)
  • FMCG or retail experience essential.
  • Proven team leadership & mentorship.
  • Commercially astute with new business development experience.
  • Excited by the chance to build something, not just run it.

Package:

$140,000 + $160,000 + super
