**The Role**:
**Where you fit in**

The Technical Solution Analyst is responsible for providing detailed technical analysis for projects and products developed by Shell Australia IDT (Information & Digital Technology). These products need to be fit for purpose within the Shell Australia IDT portfolio, have technical integrity, the right Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through their life cycles and be aligned with the strategic IT technology direction of Shell.

**What’s the role?**

You will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

- Provide pragmatic technical solution analysis and design.
- Having a deep understanding of the Shell Australia technology landscape. Actively seek opportunities to improve the technology landscape, in line with Shell IT strategy, with a focus on the Shell Australia Technical Landscape.
- Understand and influence global strategy on Microsoft Azure, Data and Analytics and Cloud Native Software Engineering.
- Take an active role in improving & maintaining the design of the Shell Australia Technical Platform.
- Deliver proofs-of-concept of innovative technology, emphasizing the value to the business.
- Contribute to the technology viewpoint of IDT Australia during rollout of global capabilities.
- Follow IT Technology developments in the market and leverage this knowledge in designing solutions. Ensure solutions are ‘future-proof’.
- Stay in touch with development of standards and standard services in IT at Shell.
- Encourage and promote agile delivery processes and DevOps.

**What we need from you**

We are keen to speak to professionals with the following:

- Significant years of experience in IT, with proven expertise of delivering complex solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Have a deep knowledge of Data and Analytics technology (e.g., SQL Server, Azure ML (Machine Learning), Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Lakehouse, Power BI, etc.).
- Proven software development capability with Python and/or C#.
- Understand common software development techniques (e.g., Unit Testing, Continuous Integration/Deployment, Infrastructure-As-Code). Working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Practical experience of working in and with techniques such as agile, scrum, lean start-up, or design thinking and in creation of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
- Strong stakeholder management skills: pro-active communication and an ability to work closely with other members in project teams and other disciplines.
- Effective communication skills: strong written and verbal communications. Including the ability to communicate technology and design viewpoints and decisions using content appropriate for the audience.
- Be passionate about the use of technology to enable Digital Transformation.

This role can be based in Perth or Brisbane.
