If you are an experienced Carpenter/Builder/construction tradesman who takes pride in their work and is passionate about great customer service, we have a full-time opportunity for you to join our team as a Building Assessor in Sydney area and surrounds.

What you will do:
The role of the Assessor is to carry out residential home inspections/assessments and write succinct and professional reports for a variety of residential building insurance claims. Our growing claim portfolio ranges from minor building repairs to large loss residential building claims with major structural damage.

Your core duties will include, but will not be limited to:

- Inspections: examining the scene and ascertaining the cause and extent of the damage
- Estimation: estimating quantities and cost of materials and labour
- Managing: manage the repair process and use skills to project manage these repairs
- Writing: providing professional and accurate building inspection reports
- Customer Service: showing empathy and care for customers at all times

Please note: You will be required to climb ladders and inspect roofs. This is something you must be comfortable with.

We will also expect you to have:

- Previous trade experience (carpenter preferred) or, builders licence
- Current drivers licence
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Sound knowledge of National Construction Code (NCC)
- Track record of actioning and closing jobs

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
