**What you’ll do**

As the Fire Safety Building Compliance Assessor, this role will see you responsible for conducting fire safety assessments and audits as well as building compliance assessments. Reporting to the Team Manager - Essential Safety Measures, and supported by a team of high-performing experts, your specific responsibilities will include:

- Conducting essential fire safety measure audits, facilitating systems interface tests and completing Annual Fire Safety Statements
- Servicing clients who manage a range of property profiles including commercial, retail, warehouse and industrial facilities
- Managing and delivering assigned projects to ensure they meet defined project objectives, timeframes, budgets and quality assurance standards
- Contributing to the region’s pipeline of business to ensure revenue targets are achieved through proactive client relationships and project management

**About you**

**Y**ou will hold “Accredited Practitioner - Fire Safety” accreditation with the Fire Protection Association of Australia and have proven experience in the auditing of essential fire safety measures, with a sound knowledge of AS1851, the BCA and legacy codes and standards applicable to building fire safety.

Other experience and attributes you will need to ensure success in this role include:

- You will have excellent interpersonal, project management, problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and focus on clients.
- You will possess the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with others as well as the skills to communicate and build strong business relationships.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or fire technology, plus previous experience in a consulting role will be highly regarded.
