This exciting opportunity is a full-time position and an integral part of the roasting & production team. You will be responsible for fulfilling all duties related to Coffee Roasting, Green sourcing and quality control.

The role is a full time position working between 32-34 hours over 4 days (Monday - Thursday).

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Oversee the entire coffee program including sourcing, roasting, brewing and service.
- Manage and monitor green coffee inventory to ensure timely roasting and delivery to customers
- Develop profiles that highlight the best attributes for each coffee, tailored to meet our preferences
- Continuously push our program forward, keeping us in league with the best roasters in the business.
- Establish and maintain relationships with coffee growers, importers & other industry partners
- Training and development of roastery staff which includes selecting green coffees, creating profiles, creating roast schedules, dialling-in brewing equipment.
- Overseeing the maintenance and operation of roasting equipment.
- Uphold and represent company values; develop within the team while leading by example

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Minimum 5 years experience working in Specialty Coffee.
- 2+ years in coffee roasting operations with experience as head or assistant roaster.
- 2+ years developing and implementing production roast profiles.
- Experience with and knowledge of SCA cupping protocols.
- Excellent palate and ability to taste and evaluate coffee
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Passion for coffee and commitment to quality
- Experience with roasting software platforms including Cropster.
- Exposure to green coffee inventory management and demand planning.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and taking instructions in the English language.
- Possessing basic computer skills.
- Competent in basic mathematics.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Enjoy working in a team, ready for hard work passion and thirst for coffee, knowledge and excellence
- Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch, and stand.
- Valid manual driver's licence.
