Job Description

Our Burleigh Heads facility is our retail ready production site, taking beautiful cuts of beef and lamb and slicing, mincing, flavouring and trimming products to produce what you see on supermarket shelves We supply to large retail customers domestically and export internationally. We have approximately 180 team members across warehouse, production, maintenance, quality, technical, and on-site corporate support.

The site currently operates a Monday to Friday roster with a first shift starting at 5am and second shift at 9am.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Quality Assurance Manager is a member our site Senior Leadership team and has oversight over the quality team of seven, providing technical and operational quality assurance service for the site.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and training that ensures employee knowledge and compliance of HACCP standards are met
- Oversee third party and customer food safety and quality audits; ensure non-conformance issues are rectified within time frames provided
- Establish non-conformance processes and reporting that provide early alert and or early reporting of issues arising; provide timely response to issues, resolving every issue in the quickest time frames achievable
- Maintain currency of knowledge across changes and proposed changes to HACCP regulations and requirements of customers under supply agreements
- Ensure that our operations are maintained at and in compliance with HACCP
- Manage and maintain the QMS to meet the requirements of BRC, SQF, Coles Manufacturing Standard, Aldi Addendum requirements or other customer specific requirements for the Burleigh Heads site.
- Conduct internal audits and external audits (if required)
- Conduct scheduled QMS verifications.
- Assist with the management of the site document control system.
- Handle customer requests for technical information (eg. accreditation documentation, specifications, export compliance documentation, etc.).

**About you**:

- You are a positive and collaborative leader who is solutions focused
- You have proven success in a hands on Quality Assurance leadership position
- You have strong knowledge of global and national food safety certification, legislation and industry standards including GFSI, BRC, SQF and customer standards including Coles Food Manufacturing Supplier Requirements and ALDI Addendum.
- You hold tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and rapport building skills.
