Lead the optimisation of a multi-disciplinary HR Operations team

This very successful retail business with a proud and long-standing history in Australia continues to forecast strong growth across their diverse portfolio. Having grown through acquisition recently, they are seeking to consolidate and build a consistent HR platform and the complementary people infrastructure to support and underpin ongoing transformation.

Reporting to the GM HR, the
**Group HR Operations Manager** is a new role and will lead the existing Recruitment, Payroll and Administration teams as well as develop and implement the longer-term strategy for the Operations function.

With a focus on streamlining HR Operations, the emphasis for this role will be in leading and enabling individuals and teams while stepping up as the Project Lead for a range of technical and functional projects that enhance the customer and employee experience.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Strong leadership of the HR Operations team - creating inspiration and embedding a continuous improvement mindset
- Developing and delivery of the HR Operations roadmap to transition current state to a centralised and standard operating model across recruitment, admin and payroll
- Identify opportunities to create and contribute to efficiencies and improvements across the HR function and project manage key improvement projects

The Group HR Operations Lead will be the primary lead on a range of optimisation and improvement projects and, as such, you will have access to relevant project resource as required to support delivery.

The person should display the following attributes and/or experiences:

- Previous leadership experience, preferably of an HR shared services or CoE function, and the capability to develop strong engagement with a large and diverse team
- Broad experience within complex HR environments and familiarity with diverse and geographically dispersed workforces - experience in the retail sector is ideal but not required
- Strong project management capability with the combined experience in leading technology optimisation projects as well as a change management program
- Strategic presence and the capability to drive accountability and work collaboratively with a broad team and business
