**Job description**
**Project Officer - Aboriginal Pathway Strategies***:
- Community, Family and Children Services | Social/Welfare
Closing date: 15/07/2025
**Kaya,**
Are you a proud Aboriginal person with a passion for culture, community, and projects that make an impact? MercyCare is calling on changemakers to step into a key role supporting our Bordya Bidi team.
When you join MercyCare, you join something bigger. A community of staff that make a difference at the heart of the community. As a leading Western Australian not-for-profit provider of aged care, family, community, early learning and disability services we support people throughout life’s journey. We invest in our people by building rewarding careers, offering training and development opportunities and a values-driven culture where our people can belong and thrive.
**About the role**
This part time (19hrs per week) role is all about ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes so the Boordiya Bidi and Safety & Inclusion teams can focus on delivering impactful, culturally safe work.
You’ll be the go-to person for providing high-quality administrative support — managing data, coordinating meetings and events, supporting reporting processes, and keeping documentation up to date and organised. You’ll also be the friendly first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, helping create a culturally safe and welcoming experience for all.
Whether you’re pulling together a report, supporting a project, or preparing for a community event, you’ll bring structure, insight, and care to everything you do.
**About you**
You’re someone who loves organising, planning and getting the details right. You’re confident working with systems and data, but you also understand the importance of cultural safety and community connection in everything you do.
You take initiative, enjoy improving processes, and you’re not afraid to ask questions when needed. You understand that being part of a team means pitching in wherever needed — and you do it with a positive attitude.
**You’ll bring**:
- Strong administration and organisational skills with great attention to detail
- Experience with data collection, reporting and document management
- A proactive, helpful approach to supporting teams and building strong relationships
- Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with diverse stakeholders
- A genuine interest in contributing to culturally safe and inclusive service delivery
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, online platforms and digital systems
- The ability to juggle tasks and manage your time effectively
**About the benefits**
You'll become part of an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming Western Australian organisation passionately committed to making a meaningful impact in the local community. Our MercyCare Promise is focused on ensuring our people are connected and empowered to make a positive difference in the heart of our communities**.**
**As a valued team member, you’ll also enjoy access to**:
- Not for profit Salary Packaging options up to $18,000
- Childcare discounts for your little ones
- Options to purchase additional leave
- Career Pathways, Professional Development and Training
- Comprehensive Wellbeing Program including discounted health insurance and free flu vaccinations
**To Apply**
