PERSOLKELLY VIC Government Team are currently seeking an experienced Rail Safety Advisor for 6 months with possibility of extension.

PERSOLKELLY VIC Government Team are currently seeking an experienced Rail Safety Advisor.

About your responsibilities:

- Develop, deliver and maintain systems and processes to ensure safety & compliance is met with relevant regulations at all sites
- Provide Project Readiness support with technical advice to Senior Leadership Team to assist them in making business critical decisions relevant to key Rail Safety Risks
- Manage & process corrective actions arising from investigations and audits within suitable time frames
- Oversee and facilitate lessons learnt to ensure a process of monitoring, evaluation, and continual improvement, related to rail safety across all projects including the Annual Works Plan
- Conduct site inspections to ensure risks related to the client rail accreditation are communicated, understood, and mitigated
- Manage the Contractor Management process within Delivery, to ensure all contractors understand and comply with the client requirements
- Facilitate and participate in risk assessment to ensure Rail Safety risks are adequately identified and managed
- Proactively monitor worksites to ensure compliance with the client IMS and relevant regulations
- Develop and review Rail Safety documentation prior to site implantation
- Attend various project sites within Victoria as/when required

Skills/Requirements:

- At least 3 years' relevant experience working on rail infrastructure projects, including site-based duties (preferred)
- Proven experience within or exposure to the Rail Construction Industry (preferred)
- Sound knowledge of the Rail Safety National Law Act and related Regulations (advantageous)
- Solid communication skills with the ability to tailor your technical messages according to your audience
- Current Driver's Licence
- Level 2-3.2 TFPC Qualification (advantageous, but not essential)
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Safe Working/Track Awareness - Category 1 (or willingness to obtain)
- Construction Induction Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Current RIW card, including
