**Role**:
You will join a high performing team (established track record in achieving full bonus potential) of dedicated logistics professionals all driven by a common goal to create true value solutions for its customers. This position includes combined responsibilities of Supply Chain Management as well as Ocean Carrier operational tasks and processes, providing a unique opportunity to further develop and expand your logistics experience and commercial acumen.
- Own and manage purchase orders of your key customer (a major FMCG/Apparel retailer) from end to end to meet their destination delivery requirements
- Deliver information and status updates to your key customer in an efficient and effective manner
- Manage the chain of transport from origin to destination as the Control Tower for your customer as per SOP.
- Coordinate with origin colleagues in ensuring timely follow up and reporting of deviations
- Destination handling & coordination: advising of containers, customs processes and last mile delivery.
- Continuously identify operational improvements and drive process changes
- Drive effective process & systems implementations
- Project management, continuous improvement and customer implementation
- Handle invoice queries & dispute resolution

**You**:

- Are a self-driven logistics professional who thrives working in entrepreneurial environments in which personal and professional development is a key focus
- Have a strong background in freight forwarding (end to end supply chain management)
- Are a highly relationship-driven personality who derives satisfaction from building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Experienced in working with large retail clients (advantageous)
- Mixed experience of import, export and cross trade across multiple transport modes and products (advantageous)
- Experienced at PO (purchase order) management (from end to end)
- Relevant qualifications within Supply Chain Management or similar (advantageous)
