We’re looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria.

In this position you will report to our Logistics Manager ANZ and with the right balance of experience in logistics, transport, and warehousing to delivery our products to our customers at the right time at the right place and at the right cost will be essential to succeed in this role.

What will you be doing?
- Lead, and control logistics policies, procedures, and activities to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness including materials volume planning and control, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, transport, and distribution with our 3rd Party Logistics & Long Service Providers
- Coordinate and oversee the work of the team and contribute to the organization’s logistics strategy in an effective and consistent manner and according to established guidelines and budgets.
- Work with Project Managers, Site Managers & Supervisors to ensure deliveries are met.
- Receive and verify shipping information. Oversee the overall logistics function in the region; optimize resources and prioritize and drive efficiency to ensure delivery is done in full and on time.
- Identify and build partner relationships with 3pl Providers
- Identify opportunities and mitigate risks in company and 3pl warehouse.
- Coordinate, book pick-up and delivery for sites.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cargo deliveries meet required timeframes, escalate any delays to the Project Manager/ Site Manager or Site supervisors.
- Monitor and measure 3pl service performance.

What are we looking for?
- SAP experience essential
- 8+ years of experience in logistics
- preferred but no essential
- Degree or Logistics Certification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in inbound logistics or freight forwarding
- Organised with the ability to prioritise
- Experience with supplier and subcontractor negotiations, understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement, customs clearance, shipping, ocean freight, and import of goods and services
- Willingness to travel across the regions if required.
- A quality focus mindset, setting yourself high quality standards
- Willingness to travel across the regions if required.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage other teams
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent Time Management skills
- Good problem-solving skills & analytical mind
- Intermediate IT skills, Excel Essential
