International MineTech organisation seeking ESG Technical Solutions Manager

**Your new company**

An international MineTech organisation backed by a global Japanese technology conglomerate is seeking an ESG Technical Solutions Manager (with a focus on Scope 1 emissions). This role will see you work as part of a new R&D Team at this MineTech’s Australian HQ in Brisbane in a highly funded start up environment akin to Silicon Valley.

**Your new role**

Established over 25 years ago and headquartered in North America, this MineTech organisation services the technological needs of mining companies throughout the world. With clients in several continents along with offices in North America and Australia, this organisation is soon to be brought under the umbrella of its parent organisation resulting in a soon to be created Digital Solutions Division.

Whilst having been in operation for several years, this organisation’s Brisbane based R&D Team operate in a start up like environment. Currently comprising of nine technical professions, this team is set to go through rapid expansion over the next 12-18 months.

Your new role as this teams ESG Technical Solutions Manager will see you work with both the engineering team and end clients on cutting edge digital solutions (initially as prototypes then fully fledged). Whilst all based on an overarching technical platform that sprawls several technical domains (IoT, Cloud, AI and OT), the solutions can vary from the control of autonomous vehicles to the interoperability of different OEM’s.

Based on this platform, your solutions goals are to monitor, record and reduce the mining carbon footprint via innovate technological means. With a focus on the reduction of Scope 1 emissions omitted by mining assets (first mobile then later fixed such as longwalls, trucks, production lines, etc), your work will vary between the environmental and digital technology domains.

Using your experience and understanding of Scope 1 emissions (e.g. Green House Gasses), you will create solutions to monitor (and counter) these. Not to be confused with calculating these emissions in a general sense (e.g. using a vehicles average fuel consumption, OEM’s technical specifications, etc), you will be working with technical experts to create solutions that will measure and monitor an individual assets emissions in real time. Once achieved, these metrics will then be relayed back to the technical platform to be used, analysed and (if achievable) reduced.

Having experience in the real-life measurement of emissions from not only assets but industrial equipment is paramount to the success of this position and this teams end goals. A passion for emission reductions alongside digital technology is crucial as by working alongside dedicated Chemical and Technology Engineers, the solutions under your control will bring mining into the 21st century.

- Scope 1 emissions, ESG, Sustainability and Green House Gas reductions
- Sustainability technology
- Technical product management
- Digital mining technology (monitoring solutions, vehicle control systems, etc)
- Data technologies
- Mobile mining assets (vehicles, longwalls, drones, etc).
- Industrial equipment and assets
- Experience working with both a Start Up and corporate environment highly regarded
- Working with stakeholders (internal and external) of all levels
- Perfect communication skills (written and verbal)
- Full Australian working rights
