**What you’ll do**:
Reporting to the VIC Specialty Care Manager, you will have full ownership and accountability for developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive business plan to support best treatment outcomes for patients with respiratory illness. This is a Part Time (0.8 FTE) opportunity on VIC West Territory, encompassing some Melbourne based hospitals.
**Your responsibilities will be broad and will include**:
- Identifying, building and developing relationships with key specialists, clinicians & health care professionals in the respiratory field
- Develop and implement effective account plans, analysing sales performance and implementing strategies to achieve business outcomes
- Working as part of a high performing and collaborative team to achieve and exceed sales targets and performance objectives
- Working in partnership with internal commercial and medical teams to deliver objectives in line with strategic objectives
- Continuing to expand your knowledge in the respiratory therapeutic area
**Essential for the role**:
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales roles with an applied understanding of the complexities of working in the hospital environment
- Proven track record of engaging and developing lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders in complex clinical environments
- Strategic mindset complemented by outstanding account management, influencing and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to delivering a superior, impactful customer experience with a willingness to try a variety of different channels, tools and technologies
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills and demonstrated cross-functional leadership
- Proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate complex scientific information
**Desirable for the role**:
- Respiratory therapeutic area experience
- Established relationships with a broad base of external customers in the VIC health network, including prescribers, payers and clinicians.
- Tertiary qualification, preferably in life sciences, medical, pharmacy or a related field
