**The Role**:
Are you a communications specialist, with expertise in internal communications, procurement, and stakeholder management?

Seeking a passionate Internal Communications Adviser assists in the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic communications plans and campaigns across the department's portfolio teams.

You will support the delivery of best-practice and evidence-based communications that concisely communicates the education narrative to our staff and the broader public.

The role also actively participates in a broad range of communication tasks, events and activities to support the delivery of the Division's work. Some ad hoc after-hours work may be required.

**VPS4 Equivalent | Contract to July 27 | Immediate start**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support and help coordinate the Department's communication policies including sponsorship and social media policies
- Demonstrate understanding of organisational and public sector guidelines and protocols by ensuring communications activities adhere to organisational, whole of government and public sector policies and guidelines
- Assist in coordinating, developing and evaluating communication strategies and plans, and preparing associated project plans and briefings
- As required, support the implementation of advertising campaigns, including collaborating across the Division
- Guide others to develop and deliver best-practice communications
- Provide guidance on Departmental policy and guidelines, and maintain central advice pages on the Department's intranet
- Develops and applies organisational knowledge to connect people, information and resources to drive communications solutions

**About You**:

- Knowledge of marketing, communications and public relations theory and practice
- Understanding of strategic communication activities and their role in the public and/or education sector
- Ensures project objectives are met by anticipating and managing potential and emerging issues
- Produces project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified
- Regularly communicates with, and supports, project team members
- Exceptionally organised and provides administrative support to the team
