Join the Portfolio Communications team at the Victorian School Building Authority. Reporting to the Portfolio Communications Manager, the Communications Adviser is responsible for communications activities across a significant school infrastructure program.

**About the role**
Reporting to the Portfolio Communications Manager, the Communications Adviser is responsible for communications activities across a significant school infrastructure program.

As the Communications Adviser you will support the development and delivery of communication plans and correspondence. You'll draw on your experience working in complex organisations to write clear and engaging materials for audiences through a range of channels.

Building and maintaining relationships will be key to your success in this role, as you'll work across the organisation to align messaging. You are proactive and think strategically, evaluate outcomes, and manage approvals efficiently.

**About the VSBA**
The VSBA is the part of the Department of Education that plans, designs and builds new schools and kindergartens. We also upgrade schools and kindergartens and support them to maintain their facilities.

Our organisation is made up of property and building experts, project managers, architects, former principals and business managers and specialists in relocatable buildings, communications and engagement.

**About the Communications Branch**
The Communications Branch (part of the Corporate Division) is responsible for all VSBA communications activities. This includes developing the external and internal profile of the organisation, managing all external communications and engagements, digital and social media, content strategy, proactive campaigns, and providing strategic advice.

There are 5 teams in the branch: Portfolio Communications (Schools), Portfolio Communications (Early Childhood), Digital and Internal Communications, Events, and Customer Service and Traditional Owner Engagement.
